Él, algo molesto, volvió a empezar la última frase que había quedado interrumpida. Me iba detallando los documentos que llevaba en una carpeta y la mujer asentía en silencio con cada afirmación suya. Querían vender una propiedad ganancial y yo prepararía el contrato. Ella apenas habló, pero me había gritado en silencio.
Aquella extraña mirada al remangarse la camisa, aquellas marcas en su brazo. No hacía falta ser forense para certificar la causa. Conseguí cerrar la puerta del despacho justo cuando él salió; quedándose ella conmigo dentro. Al amparo de aquella barrera blindada me lo contó todo. Entretanto, su marido aporreaba la puerta, la insultaba y amenazaba hasta que fue detenido por la policía.
Desde aquel día pienso en todos los silencios que nunca escuché.
