Le he adelantado la cita porque su caso me tiene realmente desconcertado, me dijo el doctor. Yo, con un gesto de agradecimiento, me dispuse a escuchar el diagnóstico.
Como si fuera a impartir una clase magistral, se puso en pie y carraspeó.
-Todavía no he logrado encontrar la causa de sus males. No fuma, ni toma alcohol. Hace deporte. Su consumo de grasa y azúcar es escaso. Y tiene una situación familiar estable.
-Así es doctor, no soy campeón olímpico, pero intento cuidarme.
-Sin embargo, sufre agotamiento físico y mental. Padece taquicardias, insomnio e hipertensión. Todo ello poco compatible con un estilo de vida saludable. Tiene que haber algo que hayamos pasado por alto, algún detalle que tal vez no haya mencionado.¿ A que se dedica profesionalmente?
-Soy abogado, especializado en derecho fiscal.
-Vaya, hombre. Pués haber empezado por ahí…
